Alfredo Rodriguez (aka “ARGO”), has been creating oil on velvet works in Tijuana Mexico since the early 1960s. He was central to the velvet painting boom of the 1970s. Today ARGO is the most prolific and one of the most celebrated velvet artist still working in the craft.
